The solution
The system features automatic data collection from a variety of sensors, cameras and other input devices, following the growing process, from seeding and planting, through to the packaging plant, ensuring precise documentation as well as guidance and support during production.
AquaGuard contains the following subsystems:
- Network of smart wireless sensors that measure plant’s environmental parameters (soil and air)
- Controllers to manage irrigation and fertilization processes
- Innovative means of communications
- Central data storage and processing facility
AquaGuard is an open system. Meaning that any kind of existing hardware/software solutions can be connected to
AquaGuard.
The main differences between existing sensors and loggers to our network of smart sensors are:
• Zero maintenance effort. Usage of smart sensors network allows “plant and forget” style.
• Auto calibration. Some of the sensors in the network require a periodic calibration. The system detects such sensors and calibrates them automatically without involving the user.

Due to innovative design of the irrigation controller, almost all of its intellect and robustness is concentrated on the software level of the central processing facility rather than on the controller itself. The user can control an irrigation system from any place in the world.
To communicate with the central data processingfacility the system uses radio, cellular or satellite modem.
The main feature of the central data processing facility is synergy between: data from the plant's environment, the plant itself, the controlling systems, professional knowledge of the plant's environment, the plant's physiology, agronomic practitioners and others.
Using AquaGuard a grower can manage an irrigation and fertilization system more robustly,
trying different modes with control of soil parameters and water consumption and choosing water saving mode.
